OUR HISTORY
The demand for quality work to recuperate living spaces from loft and attic areas started growing strongly in the last half of the nineteen nineties. Axel, in this market situation, favored by incentives for renovating houses and for saving energy, presents a flexible line of products with special design and technological content and particular attention to environmental protection. When we first entered the market (we are at the end of 1998) Axel was already backed by important preceding experience in the wood window an door frame sector (in particular in design and manufacture of windows for attics and lofts).
COMPANY MISSION
Axel has been created to offer a newly conceived product that brings together Nature and technological research, backed by a dynamic company image and an efficient and highly competitive market presence.
The network of retailers, present throughout all of Italy, manages a complete service going from consultation to delivery and after-sales service. These same retailers, directly supported by the company, are able to furnish all the technical consulting materials particularly useful during design phases.

This new brand and the real quality of its products have gained market attention thanks to a policy that strives to achieve maximum living comfort. On the oder hand every designer knows how important it is to complete and improve his creations with original ideas and highly efficient solutions.
Axel, in these last few years, has gone far beyond just "making its name" by promoting its own image and its own catalogue. Axel has sought concrete dialogue with designers in order to understand - from their culture and desires - the expectations of the market and new trends in the construction sector.
The goal of the company is to cotribute to a sophisticated living culture with proposal and offering of important applications for completing modern buildings.
PRODUCT PLAN
Axel has its own style in production as well: a perfect balance between the advantages of automation and the precision of handcrafted assembly and finish, a path in search of non-polluting industrial processes (ecological wood processing methods, for example) and where man is in the center of the production process, the first and last guarantee of the quality of each window that is made. Axel, from this point of view, takes its inspiration from the environmental culture, searching for solidity, typical of Northern European nations and adding to this an all-Italian creativity in the design of its windows.

Today's Axel catalogue illustrates a range of advanced solutions, many of which are patented, that originally combine modern design, natural sensations, functional innovations. And Axel can even meet the most specific custom needs, since Axel manages and controls the entire production process and all applied production technologies.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AS A HIGH COMPETITION FACTOR
On the ona hand a privileged relationship with the designer; on the other a relationship with research centers and companies that furnish the best technologies available on the market. Several paticularly innovative solutions (such as the "smart" glazing systems) come from research programs carried out in the most important European and American insitutes (such as the University of Massachusetts research institute)
Many other innovations, such as finishes for wood and sheet metal, are the results of in-house research that has anancreasingly important role developing Axel products.
THE SEARCH FOR TOTAL QUALITY
Research on materials, esthetics, design, industrial-production, control over prosuction processes: these are different phases in a complex process that, as a whole, guarantees the quality and reliability of the Axel product.
Quality control,in particular, requires, in addition to the many standard tests, simulated testing on installed frames that reproduce the real conditions for using the window. These tests determine the performance of each model in exceptional conditions: in accelerated time conditions that verify the seal, stability and efficiency even after long periods. Axel research examines the chemical and physical quality of the various materials used to construct a window as well as using mechanical tests to measure the strength of the various operating systems.
FROM PRODUCT DESIGN TO ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN
Add to this the design efforts shown by the models in our catalogue. Here we had two basic goals: offer solutions in tune with current taste and trends, offer the simplest of "window management" systems with easy opening/closure and precision control of the quantity of air and light introduced into the loft. An Axel window, in the final analysis, seems created more from environmental design than from product design. We offer special construction solutions that exalt the design of an entire and special domestic environment such as we find in loft and attic spaces.
Warmth, character, handiness, well-being: these four factors determine the livability of a loft area. Four key components that Axel always has in mind when designing and manufacturing its new windows.
